Bliss is a new road and a new passion. After showing Brittanys for over 7 years we decided it was time we owned one too!! This little princess will be showing in conformation as well as trialed in the field.

On Sunday January 13, our family packed up the truck to go out to the Brunen's farm for training. Bliss was her usual "Look at me, see me here, wanna play?, wanna pet me?" self. Carl and I watched some of the other dogs train as the kids "searched for the National treasure" in the pasture. Finally it was time to bring Bliss out. I took her for a quick pee ... but that turned into "look Mom, a pigeon!!!". So I scooped up the bird and handed it off to Patti. Kim came along and put the bird in front of Bliss. Now, last week she wasn't really excited but did investigate. This week I had to hang on for dear life to her leash!! She was a bird machine. We kept her spirits up and Kim worked on getting her to point. Ending on a happy note, for both of us, we put the birds away and gathered up some dogs and owners and went for a walk. My little woman kept pace with her father and two half brothers for over half of the walk. It was an awesome day, we are so proud of Bliss!!!

At Bliss' first Conformation show she wins Best of Breed Puppy 3 out of 4 shows!! Way to go my Blissy Blue!! New pictures coming soon.

May 23 Bliss earned her first title. Though I am still trying to find out but I believe that Bliss the first ever Canadian Bred Brittany to do this. Bliss was introduced to sheep and to our amazment began gathering, driving and fetching the sheep to me!! Our tester wrote "Amazing to see this little dog work! Very nice little dog. Who knew a hunting dog could herd, see you in CKC herding! You Go Girl!!".

Bliss amazed me (and the crowds) once again at the Evelyn Kenney show by beating out 5 other girls to take Reserve to a 3 point major as well as taking Best puppy in Breed. I am so proud of my girl!!
She then made an appearance at the Westwinds Specialty and Alberta Kennel Club shows to take 3 out of 4 reserves and one best puppy in breed. Bliss will now be put away for awhile so she can mature. We will still be doing field events and herding but she is not mature enough to be very competitive in the show ring.

September 2009 Bliss finishes her Field Dog Junior title with some nice marks.  Now to work on getting her broke to wing shot!!!

We are in the process of planning Bliss' first litter.  She has shown tremendous capability in the ring as well as in the field and we believe she would produce some awesome pups.  Stay tuned to our puppy page for a late 2010 litter announcement.
